Page 2! I know you're excited. :) Ok. I've described as briefly as possible my family. Obviously there are lots of details missing. Maybe I will write a book and then everyone can read about all the funny stories that I have witnessed and participated in over the years. For now, you will have to settle for these few pages.
I was born in 1972. Poor mom found out about me about 5 months into their marriage and was all of 18 at the time. Yet, they had me and I (and they) survived. I love the fact that I remember their 25th birthdays. Plus, there are some definite perks to having young parents. I think my dad keeps up with my kids better than I do! Anyway, I started kindergarten at 4 and contnued attending private schools until my Senior year. Spent high school in an all girls' school and that, in and of itself, could be a book. I will sum up. There were some nice girls. There were some not so nice girls. I was way too shy. That stated, onto college.
I went to UMKC, after deciding TCU was too expensive, took lots of history classes and changed majors constantly. In December of 1992, I met David at a work Christmas party. We both worked at the theatre and we spent a few hours side by side talking. He asked me out the next night and we've been together ever since. My mom told me I would know my other half when I met a man that I would pick over Mel Gibson. That would be David. He is cute and funny and can drive me absolutely bonkers. He is a terrific daddy and loves me dearly and lets me know that. We're also best friends, the other night, we sat up until 5 am playing our new nintendo game and took advantage of the fact both kids were asleep and we actually got to play nintendo. :) May not sound romantic, but there's something very cool staying up till dawn, chatting and playing a nintendo game. Maybe it's because that's how we spent most of our early married college days. Btw....that is when I learned that the best time to shop at a Wal-Mart supercenter is at about 3:30 am. Ok....left off at best friend and would pick Dave over Mel. We have 2 children. Josh is 3 and Danny is 1. They are a perfect mix of me and Dave. Both are bright (of course) and stubborn (again, no big surprise). Joshua reads some, counts in 5 languages, knows sign language and "takes care" of his little brother. Danny is a smiley kid...like non stop. He is only angry when he's hungry or you try to keep him out of the bathroom (he likes to turn the faucet off and on and off and on and.....) I would have to say his favorite things in the world are food, his big brother, and his aunts and uncles. Pretty much in that order. The boy LOVED Thanksgiving. He even had 2nds, of everything. Currently, he is trying to get the DSL line out of the wall and is thinking about yanking out the nintendo game his brother is playing.
Sorry, quick break. Had to beat a boss on Banjo-Tooie and get Danny a bottle. Motherhood is definitely not at all what I expected. I love it tho. I suppose this being the "me" section, I should put some stuff about me directly. Maybe a list would be good....kinda a short sum up. Ok. Onto my favorite things and basic stats.
